The villain always wants to suck me bald [Quick Wear] Chapter 9

 Little Stand-in 9

Lu Changshu didn't immediately offer a definitive answer.

He simply gazed calmly at Mu Zhi after hearing those two words, until he'd made the young man sniff and quietly moved a short distance away, both himself and his papers. Then, under the young man's slightly nervous gaze, he stood up, his phone in hand, and made a call to someone.

Honestly, Mu Zhi wasn't sure he'd obey.

Lu Changshu had been acting too mildly lately. If it weren't for the shock he'd received at his house last time, and his current uneasy reaction, the little monster would have almost forgotten he was a villain capable of wreaking havoc in City A.

  Ugh. This is so difficult.

Mu Zhi frowned, complaining to the system in distress, "What if Lu Changshu really does leave on his own?"

[Lock him up! Give him medicine! Give him muscular dystrophy!]

The system had been watching "Don't Run Away, My Dear Wife" for the past few days, becoming increasingly engrossed, oblivious to the shattering finale it was about to face.

Fortunately, it reacted after it finished speaking, and amidst a flurry of "sizzling" sounds, Mu Zhi finally heard it stumbling.

  [Ah, that's not right.]

[Why don't you ask him what his wish is? As long as he agrees to stay home, you can help him realize it.] The system's suggestion was not bad.

Plus, Mu Zhi clearly remembered Lu Changshu saying during his tutoring session that he never made a loss. So, seeing this, Mu Zhi instantly became excited. He pulled his upper body out from the sofa, then peered curiously at the figure on the balcony.

Lu Changshu was still slowly discussing his plans with his friend, but Pei Nan on the other end of the phone felt something was wrong the more he listened.

"Wait," he finally interrupted, unable to hold back. "You said you wanted me to come over and pretend to deliver a cat to you?"

"But, why me?" Lu Changshu sighed and explained, "Because you're the only one here."

"What about the cat?" Pei Nan asked with a twisted expression. "How can you have a cat to give him? Or are you sending me away?"

Lu Changshu took a deep breath and remained calm. "Just send me in."

Having been friends for four years, Pei Nan had a rough idea in his mind after hearing this. But even so, he still couldn't grasp the whole situation.

If he remembered correctly, Lu Changshu should still be living with that little stand-in named Mu Zhi.

The last time Pei Nan saw that little stand-in, he looked cute and obedient, and even smelled a bit fragrant. If he hadn't reacted quickly, he would have nearly turned over in Lu Changshu's arms.

Pei Nan couldn't help but imagine the scene after he returned home, but the thought of Lu Changshu's eyes, coupled with his own actions at that time, made him look completely perverted.

  It was terrifying.

He was so frightened that he lost control of the force with which he licked the child's fur, causing him to flip over.

(TL: Pei Nan is grooming his kid, lol)

Pei Nan finally pulled himself out of his horrific fantasy with great effort. He took a sip of water from his cup and asked, "What about you?"

If he sent Lu Changshu in his original form, wouldn't his human form be gone?

Lu Changshu had already devised a plan for this. "I'll find a chance to leave, and then you can bring my original form in."

  "Alright,"

Pei Nan realized. This Young Master Lu was pulling this trick just to get him out through him.

"But why are you going to all this trouble?" Pei Nan asked, puzzled. "With your current status and strength, there's nothing you can't do."

Lu Changshu tapped the railing lightly a few times, his eyes half-closed before he spoke, "That's different."

When it came to something that interested him, he preferred to patiently uncover the secrets himself rather than forcefully doing it.

Pei Nan knew his inherent paranoia, so he simply shrugged after receiving the answer, exchanged a few pleasantries, and hung up.

Lu Changshu and his team had already made their plans, but Mu Zhi, bored as he was, began listening to the system recount the TV series.

The system seemed genuinely fond of the show, writing one short essay after another analyzing the plot, even imagining the poignant scene of the male protagonist chasing his wife to the crematorium.

Its excitement made Mu Zhi constantly recall Lu Changshu's ending. To spare the system the sadness, he quietly said, "It seems the male protagonist's crematorium is at the end."

  [Nonsense!]

[The crematorium should be coming soon, and the ending should be the female protagonist's only happiness!]

"A literal crematorium," Mu Zhi said more quietly.

But the system, lost in its own world, didn't hear. It stared intently at the screen, dangling its data cable, and only glanced up at the time when the alarm went off.

Ah, it had to go back to help with matters again.

The system closed the video and departed with the melon seeds, leaving Mu Zhi clutching a pillow on the sofa, hesitant to speak.

Never mind, maybe this is fate. Only after experiencing pain can a system's life be complete.

The little monster mentally gave the system a candle, then rubbed the pillow in his arms and began to think about how to speak later, so as not to appear so deliberate.

He was lost in thought, even running through several scenarios in his mind.

While Mu Zhi was still hesitating between being forthright and persuading, Lu Changshu had already entered from the balcony, chill emanating from his skin.

His steps weren't heavy, but they still made Mu Zhi look up the moment he heard them. The young man had a pair of exceptionally beautiful eyes, pure and penetrating, often gleaming with a beautiful light.

Lu Changshu relished the feeling of being gazed upon like this, especially since his little stand-in was bathed in sunlight, even the soft tips of his hair stained with light.

Cats have no resistance to things that glow and move. And one that suited his taste so well. It was truly a crime to tempt a cat.

The fingertips resting on his leg moved slightly, and Lu Changshu licked his fangs, and Mu Zhi felt a sudden chill creep up his back, seemingly from nowhere.

After all, Mu Zhi was a plant-type monster, so he was especially wary. Even before Lu Changshu's pupils could slowly return from animal to human form, he'd already straightened his back and begun looking around.

  As alert as a cat.

Lu Changshu clicked his tongue, and just as he twisted his waist to peer under the sofa, he reached out and grasped Mu Zhi's wrist, half-bending in disapproval. "Be careful not to fall."

"Oh." The uneasy feeling faded as quickly as it came. Lu Changshu dragged Mu Zhi back onto the sofa, scratching his face, but still unwilling to give up, he asked, "Did you feel anything just now?"

"What?" The warmth in his palm faded quickly. Lu Changshu twirled his fingers calmly, then casually sat down beside him.

"It's just a very strange feeling, and a little scary."

Mu Zhi was the kind of person who would answer every question, especially when faced with a strange question like this, when he would mumble out his thoughts.

He was only halfway through his speech when he suddenly remembered that Lu Changshu was an ordinary person, unable to understand his anguish.

With a wink, he concluded grimly, "But you certainly don't know. After all, only someone like me could experience such excitement."

Lu Changshu had no idea where he'd come up with this conclusion, but he still gave him a gentle smile. "I think so too."

"What?" He spoke quickly, and Mu Zhi only vaguely caught what he was saying, but couldn't quite grasp the details.

"I think it's probably an illusion," Lu Changshu said in a serious, coaxing tone.

Despite his words, Mu Zhi frowned.

After all, this wasn't the first time he'd experienced this; it had clearly occurred in the study.

But the other party was too powerful. Both times, he'd reacted quickly, but a quick glance around revealed nothing.

Strange. He'd ask Fu Lan tomorrow when he saw him.

The young man before him had his head lowered, seemingly lost in thought. But Lu Changshu knew his own situation well, and he didn't think Mu Zhi would connect the dots.

So he tilted his head nonchalantly and changed the subject. "I have a friend who might come over to meet me tomorrow."

"And then," Mu Zhi asked, somewhat curiously. "Are you going out?"

Lu Changshu pressed his brow. "Not going out, he's coming over, coming here."

This time, he was more specific, and Mu Zhi was stunned. "What's he doing at my house?"

"To send a cat," Lu Changshu silently arranged. "He's been helping me take care of the cat, but he's going abroad in a few days, so he's sending the cat back."

"So do you mind having a cat at home?" Lu Changshu asked, propping up his head.

A cat. The same one from last time, with a soft belly and a cat that purred and turned over in front of him!

"No problem." Mu Zhi was worried about finding a cat to test his abilities, and now a cat was presented to him, so he naturally wouldn't refuse.

Besides last time, Mu Zhi had never properly petted a cat.

In the past, when he was ignorant and in the demon world, he reached out his hand to a cub. But at that time, he had not yet mastered his abilities, and this touch attracted the cats in the entire alley.

As a result, his small leaves were nibbled a few times.

The tragic past came to his mind. Mu Zhi shifted his hips with some fear and asked carefully, "Does your cat bite?"

Lu Changshu gave him a strange look and said, "No." He breathed a sigh of relief. The little demon leaned over and continued, "Does it bite catnip?"

"Logically, it shouldn't," Lu Changshu said meaningfully, "unless it really likes it."
